Over the past 35 years Mariann partnered with others to offer their services under her guidance with Heartway, each utilizing healing modalities unique to them. Our practitioners bring their own expertise to the work. This diversity among our practitioners means that you can choose the modality and healer right for you. Some clients come needing support for health issues. Others have emotional needs to talk through. Another's spirit may need the calming relaxation and grounding meditation can provide.

Play Therapy, Eating Disorders and Multicultural Issues
I am fortunate to have worked with a diverse range of clients from preschoolers to seniors as a nurse and counselor. In 1987 I graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and in 1993 received a Master’s in behavioral health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Experience in private practice and mental health facilities has provided me a wealth of knowledge and expertise in diagnosing, treating, and tailoring treatment to my clients’ needs. I have treated issues ranging from self-esteem, addictions, phobias, multi-cultural issues to complex multi-trauma issues such as sexual abuse.
Especially dear to my heart is my experience advocating for and representing children in a court setting. I use play therapy, which is very effective in the healing process with children, connecting and building rapport with them easily. Play therapy aids my expertise in working with children with attention deficit disorders, anxiety, conduct and other adjustment disorders and their parents. Collaborating with teachers also provides crucial information which I utilize in developing concise treatment plans.
